Frankfurt -- Arrow Electronics, a U.S.-based provider of products to
industrial and commercial users of electronic components and
computer products, announced that it has agreed to pay 131 million
euro ($157 million) to acquire DNSint.com, a Germany-based
distributor of computer products in 14 European countries. The
company, which has about 320 employees, is advertised as the largest
supplier of Sun Microsystems products in its region. "We have been
excited to see many similarities between the Arrow and DNS
strategies," said DNS board member Manfred Moullion. "This
transaction will strongly support the DNS business model and will
become the basis for our accelerated growth in the European markets."
